Fanciful Mac
The first PYI icon ever produced was a blue-and-white G3, for use on my own blue-and-white at home. With that fact 窶” and the overwhelming demand for icons based on the new hardware 窶” in view, it窶冱 no wonder this set has come about. However, I窶况e tried to take a more original route and "fudge" the hardware proportions in order to arrive at fresh designs. What this means is that the Macs are not drawn to scale. The most obvious examples are the iBooks, whose color bands bleed much too far into the interior. This is because I liked the interior view, but wanted the color to be more prominent. Similar distortions can be found on the iMacs, Cubes (some sharp perspective here) and Flat Panel Display. The only fairly accurate icon is the Airport Base Station; it窶冱 shape is already so unusual that most attempts at exaggeration seem to slide into the bizarre.

Usage
The enclosed icons are ﾂｩ 2000 John Marstall. The icons are original artwork of the author and are intended for use on personal desktops. They may be used on a NON-COMMERCIAL website if a link is provided to Perfect Yosemite Icons (http://www.perfectyosemite.com). A commercial website is one where some product or service is sold (including shareware applications). These icons are to be distributed as freeware. If you choose to redistribute them, you may not charge fees or request compensation of any kind.  This readme file must accompany the icons at all times. By downloading this archive you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

Due to incorporation of 32-bit color and 8-bit masking, these icons will look best on Mac OS 8.5 or later.

If you downloaded an Icondropper Icon Pack or iPack (for use with iControl; both of these utilities are available from the Iconfactory 窶“ www.iconfactory.com), put it in your Packs folder. If you downloaded standard Mac icons, you can make use of them through copying and pasting:

Select the icon you want to use, and open its info window (File>Get Info or type command-i).
Click on the icon's representation in the upper left of the info window.
Copy it (Edit>Copy or command-c).
Select the file or folder whose icon you want to change.
Open its info window.
Select the icon there.
Paste (Edit>Paste or command-v).
